BENGALI KHEER

In large saucepan combine milk, rice, and bay leaf, cooks on high heat for 20 minutes, stirring very frequently. Bring to a rolling boil and then lower heat. Simmer for 25 minutes until it thickens. Remove bay leaf and add sugar, raisins, and cardamom. Refrigerate until cold. Cheer thickens as it cools.

ITEMS REQUIRED:

3 cups milk

2 cup rice

1 spoon raisins

2 bay leaves

2 cup sugar
